Kevin Abstract has been rise for a while now,

with his first album “MTV1987” catching everyone’s attention and he continues to impress. On “American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story,” he mixes alternative and pop influences with hip-hop. He doesn’t only push the boundaries of hip-hop sonically, but lyrically to as the album talks about his experience as a bi-sexual black man in America.
